Many ladies have some basic questions they ask about makeup. Some of the questions are; how do I find the right shade for my foundation, is it necessary to apply the blush, where do I apply the bronze amongst others.
HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT SHADE FOR MY FOUNDATION?
To find the right shade for your foundation you have to ask yourself what your undertone is (warm, cool or neutral undertone). After identifying your undertone, you swatch your foundation to check if it matches your undertone.
HOW TO KNOW MY UNDERTONE?
An undertone is the color beneath the surface of the skin which affects your overall hue. To know your undertone, you must first ask yourself if you tan(when someone becomes brown or browner after exposure to the sun) easily or burn(when someone gets darker due to exposure to the sun) easily. People with warm and neutral undertones tan easily meanwhile people with cool undertones burn easily.
IS IT NECESSARY TO APPLY BLUSH?
Applying foundation makes the face look flat and makes people know easily know you’ve applied makeup but when the blush is used on the face it brings color the face and makes you look sexier.
WHERE DO I APPLY BRONZE AND WHY SHOULD I APPLY IT?
A bronze helps to give your face a better definition and also makes your face look thinner and well structured. A bronze is applied along the jawline, underneath the cheekbone and the side of nose.
WHY SHOULD I APPLY HIGHLIGHTER?
A highlighter is used to define specific parts of the face and makes it look more natural. A highlighter is applied along the jawline, the side of the nose, under the eye, the top of the cheek, the corner of the mouth and the forehead.
WHY SHOULD I PREP MY SKIN BEFORE APPLYING MAKEUP?
Prepping the skin before applying makeup helps to prepare the skin for a quality makeup. It also helps protect the skin from irritations.
